Despite reading this, it is still good to hear from you and know that you're "out there". The Mx-5 looks like a fine vehicle to drive.

I doubt that you'd remember such a silly detail, but when I was forced to sell my bikes I also sold or gave away every bit of my riding gear, as a deterrent to giving in to the motorcycle bug the next time it would inevitably bite. The thinking being, it would be one thing to go ahead and plunk down the $$ to get another bike. I could simply go snag a used SV650 or something, and it wouldn't be a major commitment.
Having to replace thousands and thousands of dollars worth of all that gear, though, some of which was custom tailored to fit me?
I knew I wouldn't do that. That was my safeguard against myself.
So, instead, I continue to let the MX-5 pull that duty. I ended up swapping the red one for a white one a few months ago, but it's essentially the same thing.
