To me the difference between the ‘17 and ‘14 came down to pure aesthetics. I really didn’t want the abs brakes or slipper clutch and although the larger tank did appeal to me I didn’t want red. I already have a red kawi. Plus I didn’t like that the side covers don’t match. So the blacked out ‘14 just made sense to me and I personally think the all black looks bad azz.
