Glad you were in your car. I have been close to several bowouts on my motorcycles over the years and they are frightening. Like a shotgun being shot off, big hunks of rubber flying past, an onnoxious smell and a prolonged weird flapping noise as piece of the tire try to cling to the base of rubber they were bonded to. Ive also wondered why they are still legal.
I wont stay by a truck for any longer than it takes to pass it, I also wont stay behind one because of "dirty air" , plus the fact they block your vision and have the ability to run over a ladder or wooden skid that you can't see until it comes spitting out from under the rig too late for you to do anything about. Trucks and motorcycles, just don't play well together.
