Without knowing what the "glass" is composed of, it's tough to know if it needs protection or not. The "glass" screen on my ruggedized mobile phone is so tough that no screen protector is required, but how scratch and scuff resistant is the CB instrument "glass?"

I did lightly scratch the central readout when I wiped it not knowing it had a layer of dust over it. It is not bad but it does annoy me ever so slightly :-(

Just use some plastic polish with a clean damp microfiber and it will disappear.

I shall try that GIN60, many thanks, hadn't occurred to me.
