The benefits of owning an RE are seemingly endless.  How many miles do you have now on your INT650?

I'd have to get off my duff to go look, but I think around 7000. I did the 6000 mile valve check recently. So easy with screw adjusters, which is another great reason to keep it. Removed the rest of the smog jibber-jabber while I had the tank off. She's been reliable, but one of the chief issues is the charcoal canister turning into a brick, so removing that ensures that I won't encounter it. Plus, the rectifier sits behind the canister and is another potential problem as they can overheat due to lack of airflow, so maybe mine is happier now without a big brick in front of it.

Other than needing to shop for a new rear tire very soon, she's been a great bike.

Does California not do inspections of motorcycles for emissions like is done for cars, making removing the smog thingy a non-issue?
