Here's a fun little video that's making the rounds in the Royal Enfield community.
It details a "major service" of an Enfield twin, which mainly seems to consist of blasting something at parts of the bike that would not normally like that.
Question is, what exactly is he shooting at the wet side of the engine and bearings... steam, degreaser?

The parts are still laughably cheap. Add in the recent import tariffs from India and they're still on the cheap side, just less laughable. Maybe a smirk.

As far as parts, my new bounty is FB Marketplace, where people who modded their 650 Twins or sold them off are selling their spare parts. Picking up a valve cover gasket tomorrow on the way to Mom's.

The benefits of owning an RE are seemingly endless. How many miles do you have now on your INT650?

I did the 6000 mile valve check recently. So easy with screw adjusters, which is another great reason to keep it. Removed the rest of the smog jibber-jabber while I had the tank off. She's been reliable, but one of the chief issues is the charcoal canister turning into a brick, so removing that ensures that I won't encounter it. Plus, the rectifier sits behind the canister and is another potential problem as they can overheat due to lack of airflow, so maybe mine is happier now without a big brick in front of it.
Other than needing to shop for a new rear tire very soon, she's been a great bike.

Does California not do inspections of motorcycles for emissions like is done for cars, making removing the smog thingy a non-issue?

Unlike cars or trucks, motorcycles do not require a smog check before registration.

However we’re not supposed to alter the exhaust on any motorcycle made since something like 2012 or 2013 in California. But no inspection unless it’s coming in from another state.
