Hi everyone,
I’m trying to adjust the position of the gear shift lever by turning the linkage rod (shown in the picture below). By loosening the nuts on both ends and rotating the rod, the lever angle can be adjusted.
The problem is that the nut on the left side is stuck. When I try to loosen it, the entire linkage rod twists, and I’m worried about breaking it. I’ve tried holding the rod with pliers, but I can’t get a good enough grip to keep it steady while applying force to the nut. The nut on the right side is loose, so I can’t use it for leverage either — it just unscrews when I apply any force.
