Maybe the 2017 CB1100 EX LED headlights are the answer. Less power required and very little heat. I don't ride in the dark, so others will have to comment on its brightness.

I wouldn’t do that. The ‘17 EX LED light costs $700.00 and uses an exotic eight pin connector. Instead, find a round H4 LED sealed headlight unit for a car on Amazon. They typically cost ~$100.00 a pair, and are a drop-in replacement. I’ve done this on an older bike I own with great results.
While there are many styles to choose from, I picked one with several rows of circular lenses. The light is brighter and the road is very evenly lit.
