They clainm 22 db reduction, but they do block a lot of sound lolI never wore earplugs when I raced MX as a kid (who knew?) or when riding street bikes in my teens and '20's. I remember installing a Shoei fairing on my '78 CB750F2 back then and wondering why the wind noise suddenly seemed oppressive on the freeway. I had no clue it would damage my hearing, and of course, did nothing about it.

Longranger..just plain foolishness on my part. So you have been wearing them for 25 years and you still have bad tinnitus? My god man what were you listening to AC/DC thru head phones?
The other source of my tinnitus is from playing drums since the age of 10. I played in front of a lot of Marshall amps for a lot of years. Very damaging.
So, wearing earplugs for the past 25 years has probably slowed the deterioration, but hearing loss is cumulative and each time I go for a ride it gets worse, despite what I shove in there.
