My McGyver riding buddy tried to design a self-sprayer using a water bottle, a 12V windshield washer pump, some clear plastic tubing, and two spray nozzles. His idea was to mount the nozzles on the handlebars, facing the rider, and with the push of a button, the pump would suck water from the bottle and spray the rider. It'd be really refreshing for the summer conditions out here, but he never made a working model.

This is the same guy who went wide around a curve on his Kawasaki Z1 900 and careened over a cliff (I watched in horror in my rear view mirror), and years later, collided head-on with an oncoming pickup truck while attempting to pass a line of traffic on his Triumph Trophy 1200. Mike, you are dearly missed.

We had a buddy who rode like that. Nearly implanted his R1200RT and his face into the grille of a logging truck two miles from our lodgings. We all honestly thought he would die. No one can explain his last nanosecond escape. Thankfully, he sold the bike and is now piloting a 48-ft cuddy cabin on an inland lake.
