I know most helmet-top mounts do too, but mounted on the chin means it whips around more. I'd be happier with a little tether for the mount, just in case, even just a zip tie.
Has anyone ever had a helmet camera come loose?
I've used 3M VHB (grey) foam tape on GoPro mounts and never ever came close to a mount dislodge on any surface, including lids. Of course, proper surface preparation is paramount.
The front strap (2) mount like in the previous post above does not budge or sway and unhooks/hooks very quickly. Very sturdy mount design.
