A few of my buddies will throw on their Milwaukee heated jackets under a riding jacket and seem to like it. They have alot of money invested in that contraction type heated gear already tho as most of them are in Union labor jobs here in NY. Electric, HVAC, elevator, etc.
I have thought about getting the heated grips to install though, but I routed my auxilary lights to that accessory plug in the headlight housing that was for the factory heated grips so I would need to move a few things around.

(+1) on the Milwaukee heated vest under a jacket. Long lasting garment, tear resistant and looks great. In addition, I can take it with me on hikes, outdoor social events, or outdoor winter season work. Heat is adjustable with three on settings and a single small 12V 24 Wh battery that lasts up to 8 hours on low. The garment is 12V, hence, compatible with vehicle available voltage.
