American Super Bike has fallen on hard times of late and is not the best training ground for the premier series, just ask Josh Herrin.

Ben Spies had some success, a win at Assen. Being Matt Mlladin's teammate in American Super Bike proved a great benefit to him but injuries and bad luck ruined Ben's career.

I can't see any American breaking into Motogp soon. Perhaps Jack Miller has the best chance of anyone outside of Europe.
