Low - midrange torque -- not as fun?

I'm confused. If you are running a CB 1100 between 4000 and 6000 rpms it should be much more exciting and responsive than a CB 750 Nighthawk with both more torque and more HP than the Nightawk ever though about having. The CB absoluetly wakes up above 4,000 rpms.
Btw my brothers new Bonnie T120 runs the exact same speeds in the exact same gear as my CB1100. VIrtually peas in a pod power wise.
