One of my RDs has a chromoly hand built frame.. with an rd neck and vin, rd motor, and the geometry was jigged off of a stock frame. Yes, the steering angle, swingarm length, pipe and motor position are all 'stock'. Legally, both the bikes in the picture are 74 RD350s. silver one is the lightweight.
the white one literally doesnt have a single stock unmodified part on it, aside from hardware. and all thats brand new.
I tend to refer to them as the 'lightweight' and the 'w.b.o.d." (a name my wife gave it, the 'white bike of death') or 'the lc' or 'the white bike'
That was what I was getting at, m in sc: when do the mods on a bike (or anything really) mean it should no longer be called by its OEM name. I know it doesn’t matter, but it interests me. Au₂O₃ looks to the engine; others may judge by the tank or side covers.
