Guys- those are the '14 wheels that came on the bike. I simply stripped the black off the wheel lip. Just some painters tape, paint stripper and a scotch brite pad.Cheap and easy.
I actually don't care for the way the factory chose to do the black/silver wheels because they went into the barrel of the rim too far, too much silver- looks odd. I prefer just the lip.
It's interesting how we all have different preferences for the wheels on our bikes. I like the silver 2014 DLX cast wheels better than my spoke wheels, but since the DLX rear axle is larger than the axle on my 2017 EX it's not an easy change.
By the way PowerDubs, your bike looks really nice with the polished rims on the black wheels, chrome headlight shell and polished fins on your heads with the silver cam covers. You've put a lot of work into it.

Cheap and easy.
