Grunty, responsive engine and quite stable in the twisties, yet agile and very spirited. I was impressed. Haven't heard from him in a while. After spending time on a couple of newer Guzzis the 08 Sport 1200 and 2012 Griso 8vSE, it took considerable saddle time on the CB to adapt to an engine with a totally different sound, feel, and power delivery. I finally 'got it!' Even after putting over 150k miles on twins over the past 15 years or so.
Sounds like you've had some Guzzi experience aside from Mile High's 12S. Of course, mine is also the 2v per cylinder engine. But for a big lump of a pushrod/rocker arm design, the old gal gets down the highway. By comparison, the high cam, 4v/cyl Griso was a brawler, though advertised to produce only 110hp.
