Stock exhaust Jet-hot coating

Hi All

Thanks for input to my header tarnishing issue. It’s really not a huge deal, more minor annoyance than anything. Lets face it the ride of the bike with brown looking pipes is unaffected by it. Reading all the post’s here it’s funny how people always tend to over think things and impart there own feelings, likes , dislikes and quickly shoot off on another tangent…These things tend to take on a life of their own. The real issue comes down to down to three basic options, for my bike as follows:

1. Do nothing…live with the brown pipes as is, although polishing is hard work and the brown discoloration quickly returns after riding a few hundred miles. (Live with annoying discolored pipes)

2. Replace the stock exhaust with better-made header exhaust assembly, down side is that upgrade cost can quickly escalate into a $2000 cash out lay or more to fix it. (Upgrade and be happy but have less $$$$

3. Go with heat resistant coating ether Jet-Hot or perhaps a ceramic coating that is sprayed on with heat. Not sure of the down sides, but lot of car enthusiast seem to have good luck with coatings. (Rework pipes I now own but process has many unknowns)

I guess what I’m asking of our forum readers, is to vote on then options 1-3 and why you choose your option.
