Thanks for putting that info out there guys, in addition to that i would point to the fact that honda does not skimp or takes shortcuts with it's choice of batteries, the yuasa agm battery is more expensive than other choices and i have a feeling that the same criteria are valid for the new lithium type.
It is telling that it took many years for the Honda team to start incorporating them, i think that follows from the standpoint that they want to have the customer ride something that can be relied on rather than follow a trendy model.
Sooner or later we arrive at a point at which the lion technology is both proven safe, reliable and makes sense in comparison to lead acid.
There are also other circumstances like a hot climate that already favour the new tech.
