I have read through this will lots of interest. Obsession in a certain bike is a problem I know all too well. I will see a bike and obsess about it. Sometimes it passes and sometimes I act.
When I first saw the 2014 CB1100 (black one) I wanted it bad but could not justify another bike at the original cost. With 6 to 7 bikes at the time and purchasing a house there was no way it would happen.
Fast forward to the winter of 2017 and I see a new one at a dealer for a price I could not turn down, $5,700 out the door. What a deal! I love the looks and have made upgrades to the bike that made it come alive. I love this bike. The all black with the alloy wheels is a perfectly compliment each other. To me they just got it right.
The other funny thing is since I bought it my job as a sailor has prevented me from riding it. I know I have less than 500 miles on it. But this year... I will be off most of the summer and a lot of time will be spent on this bike.
The moral of the story... sometimes it is good to fill your obsession. If you do you get to enjoy the one bike you really wanted the rest of your riding life! LOL!
