Hi CB4ME-I did not pull the tank and didn't see the need to. I propped up the back. The chrome strip fit all the way aroud the tank seam with the tank in place. I did however remove the seat to provide more clearance towards the back of the tank. To secure both sides (L&R) of the strip to the rear of the tank, I used Gorilla Glue and a clamp to set each side for 24 hours/until the glue set. I chose to do it this way so the trim runs slighlty underneath the seat along the tank seam. By doing it this way, you cannot see the "less pretty" end part of the strip, as it's hidden by the seat.

Thanks! I considered spokes for a bit, however, I like the comstar rims and they are easy to clean. My hang up is on the exhaust. Love the stock, however, I also love 4 into 2 on the new '14 deluxe. I also like the idea of double walled headers that are less likley to brown. Cost is holding me back at this point. Does anyhone know if the '14 standard model headers enjoy the same double walled chrome header feature as the '14 Deluxe? And if so, would it fit our '13 model? (The Cat looks different/smaller on the '14 standard model according to pics so I'm not sure) The part # looks the same on Babbit, so, it appears they are the same, meaning they are both not double walled. If you have upgraded your exhaust in any way and have not yet posted a pic, I would welecome any new photos. Keeps the exhaust juices flowing!
