I first put them on a Honda Sabre1100 that I had installed heated grips on. The heated grips were nice, but my thumbs still got cold. So I put National Cycle hand deflectors on, no more cold thumbs. Wind deflectors combined with heated grips are just about the best you can get. Yeah they do look a little weird, but in the dead of winter no one is stopping to admire your bike anyway. I enjoy riding on nice sunny winter days, but I refuse to be miserable doing it. When warm spring weather gets here and I wash and wax the bike I take the deflectors off.
