I use a polished aluminum Go-Cruise, which works the same as the Omni Cruise. I also have Grab-on foam grip covers. I trimmed the right grip cover slightly, to leave about 1/8" gap between the grip cover and the Go-Cruise. Works great!

That is exactly what I planned on doing in the next few days. My delay is in trying to remove the strada grip in order to R&R the omni "rubber band" to the smaller size. Omni sent me an oversize band to place on top of the grip, but there is too much flex in the grip (as intended to prevent vibration transfer) for the Omni to stay taught without over tightening. I'll remove the strada grip (spelled - cut off if necessary) install the smaller band and then reinstall the strada grip after shortening it.
