I have the same bike and quandary that you do. Check out this thread on the Daytona Blast Barrier http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread....st+barrier . I had considered this shield, and although it is not out of the running, I am concerned about stressing the chrome plastic headlight bucket, by the mounting system. That could be a non issue, but better to consider all possible factors on the front end. At the moment I am considering the Road Comet from Samurider. I did see the shield you referenced. As a matter of personal taste, I did not care for the way the bottom end of the shield hangs out over and past the front of the headlight. I did not want a big shield either, and again as a matter of personal taste, I do not care for handlebar mounted shields. Whatever I eventually end up with, I want it to complement the classic look of the bike, not detract from it, and of course be functional. I am going to take my time, look at all the options, and do the homework first so that the odds of being happy with the end result will be more in my favor. Take your time, and you will find exactly what will suit you too.
