I have the same bike and quandary that you do. Check out this thread on the Daytona Blast Barrier http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=11835&highlight=daytona+blast+barrier . I had considered this shield, and although it is not out of the running, I am concerned about stressing the chrome plastic headlight bucket, by the mounting system. That could be a non issue, but better to consider all possible factors on the front end. At the moment I am considering the Road Comet from Samurider. I did see the shield you referenced. As a matter of personal taste, I did not care for the way the bottom end of the shield hangs out over and past the front of the headlight. I did not want a big shield either, and again as a matter of personal taste, I do not care for handlebar mounted shields. Whatever I eventually end up with, I want it to complement the classic look of the bike, not detract from it, and of course be functional. I am going to take my time, look at all the options, and do the homework first so that the odds of being happy with the end result will be more in my favor. Take your time, and you will find exactly what will suit you too.

My advice to you both would be to have a long hard search on the forum for discussions about windshield. There are almost as many views as members.
I can't lay my hands on it at the moment, but there has been an extensive discussion recently about the merits and demerits of a couple of windshields.

I feel fortunate that my choices for winter and summer shields turned out just great the first time. I suppose the fact that I've always owned standard bikes with an upright riding position gave me some prior experience with what works for me. That being said, there are numerous members who've tried the same shields and have been unhappy with them.
The biggest factor seems to be shield size in relation to the upper body height of the rider. The key seems to be finding a shield that will direct the turbulent air flow that streams back from the top edge of the shield, either above or below the facial area of the helmet. When the turbulent flow hits around the face shield, that seems to cause the worst of the noise and buffeting that people find objectionable.
To do this, I think you either have to use a small shield that just provides coverage of the upper torso, or a really big shield that will direct the airflow over the top of the helmet.

When I owned a Honda NCX I made a mock up of a windshield out of thick card.
I then tested it for a few miles (looked ridiculous but a very worthwhile).
Next I changed shape and size with a pair of scissors and repeated the experiment. After finding the right shape for maximum effect with minimum buffeting I ordered a Puig screen that was closest to my mock up.
