This might be bigger than you want, bit it is very practical. I have a Nelson-Rigg CL-903 Expandable bag that I strap on the back of the seat. It folds down very flat. I may use it on the Honda rack I bought this winter to clear the seat.


I have a second one that I use as a tank bag. It has a clear map holder on top. Folds down nicely, but will hold my gloves and helmet when I stop for food. Out of sight, out of mind. It also has a small pouch on the back that hold my ear plugs. I use magnetic straps for it so it can be folded back for re-fueling.

When expanded it can hold a lot of gear or groceries as shown here on my CB500XA.

You might look at the Harper Chase barrel bag , I use them for tire kit and some tools.

THANKS! that might just be the ticket. Do you strap it to the seat or have two of them as "saddlebags"? I have them permently attached on the right hand side of my Honda OEM racks, just in front of the indicator light.
