Help with SW-Motech Legend Bags

Does anyone know if the SW-Motech SLC carriers mount correctly if I have an OEM Honda rack installed?

Thanks!

I don't know but since you already have the OEM Honda rack installed you can take a look at the installation instructions that are on the Twisted Throttle website https://filestwistedthrottlecom.s3.amazo....10000.pdf and see what you think since you can eyeball your bike with the installed rack. It may be as simple as replacing the supplied mounting bolts with longer ones to account for the rack mounting tabs. Pay attention to any possibility of interfearance with the rack and also consider mounting between the rack attachments and the bike vs mounting outside of the rack attachment points.

Unfortunately that does not work without modification on the SLC Side Carriers.
I have tried it, and it doesnt work plug and play.
As far as my personal research found out, there is not a single solution to combining the SLC Sidecarriers (which are aesthetically the nicest in my view) with a rear carrier.
Also, the original Honda rear carrier is the most stabil takes up to 8kg which is a lot mor then most (or even all) others.
Yet, in winter, I will modify my SLC side carriers, as there is a part on each sid that has to be cut of, made shorter, again welded and have it powder-coated again.
I think, its worth the endeavour, because it will be the best solution for this combination of sides and rear racks.

Thanks for the insight, guess it’s back to the drawing board for me to find bags...

Hello Ulljanrich,

Were you able to modify the SLC carriers to work with the Honda rear rack? If you have any pictures or can talk about what you have learned about the mod, I'd really appreciate it.
