rear rack/back rest / sissy bar

I have been all through the forums and it looks like rear racks are thin on the ground for the cb1100. I am trying to figure out how to do that and have side cases or side soft luggage without losing the pillion.

I will keep pouring through the forums. In the mean time, if anyone has any ideas that will accomplish the above, I would be grateful to learn of them. Gee whiz, the stuff on twisted throttle is a bazillion dollars.

I have a Corbin saddle with a back rest for pillion. I have a rear rack. Here's my T-Bag setup for longer distances. Several companies make similar bags. And you don't need to move the rear signals.

Keep checking this forum and ebay for racks and bags. I bought my Honda rack from a member here for way less $ than new. I got my bag on ebay. The bag was discontinued, so I paid about a fourth of list. And it was brand new.

To me, this looks like something that does not have the required strength. How much mass is one supposed to safely load into something like that?

I have packed it full with normal suitcase stuff--clothes, toiletries, etc. for a three-day trip. To be honest, I've never used the top roll with a sleeping bag.

It rides just fine. It's supported by the seat rest on one side, the rack underneath, and tie down straps. I'm a little skeptical about its "water resistant" assurance, so I pack everything in large Ziploc bags. Haven't ridden through a rainstorm with it, yet.
