I can't wait for them to get in, because I have to get them put on with the new set of tires I have on the way. Normally, I'd just buy them elsewhere, but they seem to be much more expensive elsewhere, and If i take them off the order so that my other parts will ship, Partzilla is going to charge me for shipping. So, I need to get a set of alternative fork boots for the CB1100 that are at least almost as good as the Kawasaki boots that you folks like to use. Big bonus if they're less expensive.

Any good reccomendations?

I bought mine from the local Kawasaki dealer. He had to order them, took about 3 days to get, cost around $100, very nice quality.

That would normally be my go-to strategy, but sadly i'm stuck with ordering either something from partzilla (to avoid getting a shipping charge) or ordering a much cheaper alternative to wash out the shipping charge. paying more for the kawa gaiters *on top of* paying for shipping just doesn't sit right with me.

My set of gaiters came with small split clamps to secure the gaiters up in place. The clamps are pulled together with a screw gripping the gaiter in place. A zip-tie/cable-tie will do the same thing. I placed the clamp screw behind the fork and you can barely see it unless you look for it.
The set I put on my Bonneville a few years ago came with black cable ties to hold them up in place and they have never moved.

Just to clarify, these are the one's you're talking about right?
