Tank pad came unstuck! has anybody ever had to re-adhere one of these?

I used a small amount from a tube of black silicon sealant to restick a tank pad. Worked perfectly, I just used a little on each part of the pad and cleaned the excess off with a pack of household cleaning wipes. I used masking tape wrapped around the tank for a couple of hours to keep a little pressure applied while it set.
