The VTX was out before the Harley V-Rod.
One of the reasons I started the thread.
Honda broke manufacture protocol and actually released
their 2002 Model year VTX 1800 in early spring of 2001.I was
there.I bought one that spring.No better way to remember than
being there.
Honda startled both Harley and the industry by breaking the rules.
They raised more than a few eyebrows when releasing their
model in early spring yet gave it a model year of the upcoming
year.That is why CR { Cruising Rider } gave the VTX 1800
BOTY { Bike of the year } for 2001 and the V-Rod BOTY for
2002.
