I considered this bike too, and like many others here, I just could not get past the styling. I am very open minded about new things, clothes, music, most things, but this motorcycle is just not my thing looks wise.
Ari Henning of Motorcyclist magazine has an FZ-09 as his current long term test bike, it has been interesting to read about what he has done with the bike, the first thing he did, I believe, was have it flashed, he said this took care of a lot of the problems with the throttle response, he has also been tweeking the suspension with some mods that he says have improved the handling of the bike as well. He seems to be "fixing" the bike, but he hasn't done anything to improve it's looks.
