The engine of the K1200 is the last version of this K modell (flying brick) and is the best one, very well matured.
I think, the 2002 model already has this integral ABS break system with break assistant. Then, it's very important, that all services have been done, changing the break liquid. There is special equipment necessary, to do this.
The earlier K1200 models are known, for getting problems with the clutch (oiled) at about 60.000 km mileage. These Ks have a dry clutch between separated engine and transmission, like a car.
Beside this, the K1200 is a very reliable motorcycle, which can easily do many more than 100.000 km.
However, I personally do not like the K1200LT, because it's to bulky. I would prefer a RS or GT.
