This has my attention. I have been toying with the idea of a cafe style bike and for some reason keep wanting to build my own around an older Virago or V star. I saw this new model of Bolt yesterday and really like it.
Looks like they put longer forks and shocks for better lean angle. It looks like the ergos might be a bit tight for long legged creatures such as myself, but such a bike isn't meant for long distances.
Why not your CB1100? I think they are a perfect platform for cafe styling.

I agree, the CB looks great in cafe form, but I want to retain the factory styling aside from a few minor mods. I love the bike as-is.
I also do not want to plunk down over $8k for the new Star. I would have to sell my CB to buy one. I don't think I want it that bad, but who knows what the future holds. I would prefer to hold on to my Honda and find a cheap old beater to turn into a cafe. I decided that multiple bikes may be my way forward to alleviate boredom or feeling limited by one bike with one purpose.
