In my earlier years doing huge group rides, I rode with several large organizations, most of the members riding touring bikes.
Gold Wing Road Riders Association was one of them, for example. We'd get 50-100 riders signed up for a route and spend all day chasing each other around.
It was amazing to see how well those guys, sometimes two-up, could hustle their bikes around the curves. There was NEVER any freeway, it was always mountains and canyons.
I also used to ride with the Concours Owner's Group back when the founder was still alive. Those guys were certifiable, really. We used to do Death Valley, Big Bear, all over.
So I have spent a lot of time following guys riding the big bikes; a couple of the sportbike buddies I had also had a pair of Yamaha Venture Royale's. They would alternate weekends on GSX-R 1100s and the Ventures. It was nearly impossible to keep those guys in sight no matter what they rode.
I just sent Guth what I thought was a book but after that post by VLJ, which I am having trouble interpreting, my PM looked like a shopping list.
I still am not sure if he bought the bike and is using the woman as an allegory, metaphor, simile, or what the heck is going on.
Just goes to show, you put up a picture of a pretty girl and you will get page views.
Yet another "first" for the CB1100 forum; using pulchritude to get hits! I thought I had seen it all when the Ferret cracked the ton...what's next?
