Yea nobody does it. Honda used to do it with the CB700 Nighthawk S and the CB 650 Nighthawk, both hydraulic valves and shaft drives, and the 750 Nighthawk had hydraulic valves but chain drive.
Honda also use to use drive shafts in a lot of bikes down to 500cc (VT500-CX500 etc) as did several of the Japanese mfgs... but no longer, they are in love with Oring chains
In order to get a shaft from Honda it's a CTX 1300 or Goldwing and maybe the VFR1200X that's coming out.
As far as hydraulic valves I don't think any modern Japanese motorcycle has them..maybe one of Honda's cruisers? they are in love with shim under bucket
