The CB is a perfect machine, but the Road King is the most comfortable, enjoyable machine I've ever ridden. If you can just get away from all the "lifestyle" BS, a Road King runs, handles, and brakes very well. They are easy to work on and inexpensive to own if you do all your own work. Really good aftermarket support as well.
A few years ago I testrode a modern Road King and liked the machine instantly right from the start. Delt a bit with the local Harley dealer after I rode the bike, but could not decide to give the CB away and ride a Harley. It's not easy and maybe impossible for me to overcome this lifestyle image that belongs unturnable to Harleys and their riders. I don't like this image. Harleys as new and used ones in Germany are very overpriced. But if I ever will buy one, maybe someday, most likely not, it will be the King, the only Harley I like.
