a preference isn't arguable since its based on emotion.
I almost bought new a 1984/85 SVO Mustang. In hindsight, and for more reasons than aesthetics, I'm glad I didn't. However, as to the looks of the Fox-bodies -- If you grew up drooling over the first few Mustang generations when you were too young to drive and then had to suffer through the Mustang II years once you finally got your license, you might have found the Fox-bodies, if not attractive, at least a tolerable skin for the 5.0 V8.
And my CB1100 is definitely cooler than a Mustang II <--- obligatory forum motorcycle reference.
