Looks like my 1250GS would be affected. Sounds like it's a simple thing that they'll do at the next scheduled maintenance. That pre-supposes of course that you go to the dealer to do maintenance, but with the 1250 in my case, that assumption holds. BMW is terrible of late in terms of providing shop manuals etc. to allow for people to do their own work.
