I was actually really up on a CB300R for a minute before I decided that i definitely wanted to pursue tracking this new bike. the CB300R is actually SIGNIFICANTLY lighter than all the other 300-class bikes, which was a huge selling point for me, but at the end of the day i just couldn't justify taking it to a track in any dedicated way. The handling on RC390 is so much more dialed in for that sort of thing, despite the extra weight, whereas the CB300R is almost like a supermoto. i would compare it more closely to a KLX300SM, which is funny because if you think of it like that the CB is a hugely good deal.
point i'm making is it's all down to what you want to do with it. If i had no track aspirations i would have got a KLX300sm or a CB300r.
