Looking at the posted pics of the roads in CR I’d opt for a TW200. Suspension will be the Hondas weakness.

It would be a decent bike, but I don't see it offered in CR. The Yamaha XT250 is sold there, but at $7600, it's $2100 more there than here in the U.S. One day I'll find out why 250cc bikes and larger are hit with high import taxes; likely, it's because they don't want the "gas-guzzling big bikes" to be easy to buy.
