I’ll be 52 in December. Been riding since 16. In fact, I got my motorcycle license the same day I got my drivers license. It was raining hard that day, and I only passed the riding portion of the test by a few points.
I low sided with passenger when I was 18, and have been riding a little safer ever since.
I have a ‘71 CB750 that I spent 10 years customizing. I also have a ‘14 Triumph Thruxton - although I’m thinking of selling it after 3 years of owning because it’s just a bit too aggressive in the stance for my back.
I test rode a ‘14 CB1100 STD last summer, but didn’t fall instantly in love. It was just a bit too vanilla. But if I sell the Triumph I’ll probably try to find a used ‘14 DLX. There aren’t any in Ohio, but from what I’ve read the seat is more comfortable and most appreciate the larger tank. I also really like the dual exhaust. Who knows if I’ll ever find one for what u can sell my Triumph for...
