Buzzing sound on startup and slow return to idle?

Hi all, I just bought a CB a week ago and I love it. However, two things cropped up today that I needed some help with, I don't know too much about motorcycles apart from youtube and searching other forums. Honestly my mind might just be playing tricks on me but it'd be great to hear from people that actually own the bike.

1) There is a strange buzzing sound coming from under the fuel tank when I turn the key to the on position. I hear the fuel pump turn on but then this buzz that seemed to be coming from the MAF/MAP sensor (not sure) connected to the airbox. I unplugged it and the buzz was still there so not sure where it's coming from. Maybe a servo motor or the solenoid? Or another sensor that I'm missing?

2) I let a buddy take the bike for a spin and when he brought it back, the idle seemed like it took longer to go back after revving it in neutral, like there was a vacuum leak or something. Posted a vid on youtube for someone to compare.

3) Like jodyz post, I too am hearing something like a rattle/tinging from the front part of the engine near the headers. May have just not noticed it before my buddy drove it but still worries me.

I'd wait for others to post up before getting overly concerned. One thing to keep in mind is that with an air-cooled engine, I think you're bound to hear a few more mechanical noises than you might not otherwise hear with water flowing through the engine. Another thing is that the stock exhaust is so quiet on this bike that you're bound to hear more engine noises than you would otherwise. I thought that my stock Honda Hawk GT exhaust was quiet (it is) until I experienced by CB1100's exhaust note, so much of what we hear is relative.

That's not meant to downplay or dismiss any issues that you or others might be experiencing. Just something to keep in mind. Like yourself, I'll be keeping an eye on other's comments to threads such yours, as this community has a lot of combined mechanical knowledge that we can all benefit from.

I also have the "buzz", but chalked that up to all the whiz-bang EFI, fuel pump, other electrics required to operate. Never gave the buzz much thought after the first few starts.

As for the rattling, my advice is, not to wait. The service dept won't hear anything odd unless they spend time with the bike like you do, or it progresses to the point that mine has. Report the noise and get them to document each time you bring it in. I didn't have them document the rattling I've heard since day one, and I hope that doesn't work against me to get this issue resolved. Good luck.
