Would I be correct in assuming you people really do wash your bikes to? I did that once a long time ago, got over it real quick. Anyway, everybody have fun and stay safe.
It's a habit that I acquired from the time I owned my first bike, a CB350G. It was all I could do financially to keep that bike running. It was my pride and joy and I kept it clean.
After a year or two of ownership the S100 cleaning product came out with their promise of essentially 'spray on rinse and ride'. It takes just a little bit more than that timewise, but not by much. It saves so much time over normal soaps that it's been worth the money to pay for it vs. the time to do it with cheaper cleaning agents. I've been using it ever since.
So the upshot is that I keep the bikes clean and I don't spend a lot of time doing it. Best of both worlds (except for the cost the cleaner !).
