To add something to the tire discussion,
my CB wore BT54 tires, when I bought as a new bike. Now I've ridden 12.500km
with the pair, the front tire starts wearing out a bit in the middle part, whereas the rear tire still looks good with plenty of rubber on it.
I have to admit, that I found the front tire to be a little thincoated with rubber, especially in the middle, in comparison
to the " heavy packed" new rear one.
Bridgestone could've offered a little more I think, so I wondered that it still lasts "so long",
cause I gained the impression, that it looked a little "worn out", although being fresh from the manufactory.
But I don't drive like a mad biker, instead of this, I'm more into relaxed cruising
without speedy acceleration and heavy breaking. I enjoy motorcycling the most,
if all parts of the bike last long and don't consume a lot money.
Each one is different and has different preferences.
