The delay you are experiencing sounds similar but more dramatic than the effect you can get when the engine runs lean from the stock setup. I added a power commander and had my air/fuel ratios re-mapped on a dyno and it eliminated the throttle lag. But mine was simply the lag from the lean settings from the factory not any restrictions in the fuel lines.
