I have a modular helmet so its fully open on the bottom. i look up and it goes away and look all the way down and it goes way unless I have my visor open. also, as sound resonates off your legs I can "widen" my knees as the sound gets louder. it is def coming from the engine but im wondering if its the clutch?
I will def check the chain. I have not adjusted it since factory spec. could very well be the issue as I know chains can start making all kinds of racket if loose by only a small amount.
as I have the standard model I don't have tool kit, however the storage bin under the seat currently has an AC plug for accessories.
im about to call the dealer but cannot imagine an oil change would have caused this.
I went 1200 miles before the first oil change when the dealer said 1000. I then went 2000 for my next and another 2500 for the next. I used the same oil as recommend from the dealer and I didn't notice the sound until just after my last oil change.
I live in western ny and my longest single day trip was 830 miles round trip going to Mid Ohio Raceway for Vintage Motorcycle Days.
This is very strange as everything is still "new-ish".
thanks for the feedback
I know what i am about to say might sound strange to some but i notice that buzzing sound also. I rode around and managed to find out that it happens when i grip my tank fully with my tighs. Its the resonance from the engine that makes you instantly hear the buzzing. Again, i have confirmed this on my bike. Idle or not, as long as my tighs grip fully, i will hear the buzz. But, with this bike being so perfectly put together, i am able to ignore this. I ride a 2017 RS
