is it true this bike only does 112 mph?????
what is the quarter mile speed this bike does in the quarter...
i had a honda magna, 2003, and i know that would go above 112....

I agree. I hate it when the car or bike ahead of me is only going 110mph and I want to pass. I need more than 112mph to get around them. What was Honda thinking?

That's exactly right, what WAS Honda thinking. They're advertising campaign for this is 'a day of freedom', but with a limiter on your bike....again.....a LIMITER.....on your BIKE, you're no longer really free to do what you will, are you.
Think of it this way- Honda purposely had to use extra MONEY, RESOURCES, and TIME to install this limiter rather than NOT installing it. Can you believe that a part (even if a small fraction percentage) of the price you paid for your CB went towards LIMITING yourself? How dumb is that?

Actually, I think it was in place for Japan, so it was cheaper and easier to leave it on the US bike than take off.

I've hit the limiter a few times and the motor shows no signs of slowing down except when it hits the damn limiter.
We as humans are not content plain and simple, for me I want to go fast on something that doesn't look fast.

quarter mile: 11.8 sec / 110 MPH
top speed: 110 MPH

Has more performance thanI need these days. if i wanted something faster, there are plenty of options out there. How fast will a CBR1000 go?
