He told me when they finished with the bike that they had to tinker with the fuel gauge level sensor and they figured it might not work correctly and if so, to bring the bike back and they'd get it right, which is what I'll do over the winter. As to WHY they couldn't get it correct, I don't know. However, this mechanic and his guys are really good, so I trust them.
