Oh of course! I never gave it a second thought. I use all 3 switches to shut the bike off...

If you just roll to a stop and get off, letting the bike fall over gently, you have only to use one.

I use the kill switch for two reasons.. if I have to get off in a hurry, say to check on a fallen rider, the lights stay on. The other is that if you don't use it much, it might not always work correctly or work sporadically

My 83 vf750 had a sensitive kill switch, till I took it apart and cleaned it. I know the previous owner, who never used it. He's old school. I wondered if either from the lack of use that the contacts from lack of use could have gotten dirty or corroded slightly from lack of use..

Parts can and do wear out, but I prefer to use em as intended, so I'll know if I have an issue with something before I leave on a long ride.. Outta sight, outta mind can leave a guy stranded..
